(PITTSBURGH – September 12, 2005) The Art Institutes, announced today that it will help both domestic and international students from universities in New Orleans in southern Louisiana, Mississippi and the University of Alabama, which were closed for the foreseeable future, due to the devastation by Hurricane Katrina.
The Art Institutes be available both on campus and online courses that could allow dislocated students progress in their academic careers during this semester of disruption. College students forced to close by Hurricane Katrina May 31 at the Art Institutes throughout the country for courses on space available for the fall semester.
The Art Institutes will waive the breakdown of fees for students who have already registered and paid tuition at their home institution for the semester Fall 2005. If the displaced students have not paid their tuition at their home institution will be valued at the lower fees and publication costs the home institution, or the Art Institutes' published tuition and fees charges for the fall semester, as determined by the chairman of the school.
"The Art Institutes strives to assist students who have been affected by Hurricane Katrina," says Dave Pauldine, president of The Art Institutes. "The Art Institutes offer as a way to reach students in the region of the Gulf Coast whose lives and education have been affected by Hurricane Katrina and we can to help the students. "
